MISSION Statement

The Bora Laskin Law Society (BLLS)  is a group for those in Ottawa who are in some way involved with the law and who identify with Judaism. The objects of the BLLS, described above, may be distilled into Professional Development, Professional Networking and Social Networking.

The BLLS is to be an inclusive group, and will welcome any member linked to the legal profession who identifies with its mission and objects. It shall also be governed democratically, with all members of the society being given the chance to select members of the executive.

The BLLS also seeks involvement from all sectors of the Jewish legal community including, but not limited to law students, retired jurists and judges.

The BLLS will welcome opportunities to engage in outreach and partner with like-minded organizations for the purposes of fulfilling its mission and objectives.
